Im Mai 2008 bin ich mit meiner Schwester nach Derbyshire geflogen, um einige der Drehorte von Stolz & Vorurteil (Miniserie) und ähnlichen Filmen zu besuchen. Wir besuchten u.a. Chatsworth (a) (Pemberley in "Stolz & Vorurteil" mit Keira Knightley und Matthew MacFadyen, 2005), Sudbury Hall (b) (Pemperley innen in "Stolz & Vorurteil" mit Jennifer Ehle und Colin Firth, 1994) und Haddon Hall (c) (Thornfield in "Jane Eyre" mit Ruth Wilson und Tobey Stephens, 2006):

In May 2008, I visited Derbyshire - together with my sister - in order to see some of the film locations of Pride & Prejudice (mini series) and similar movies. We visited Chatsworth (a) (Pemberley in "Pride & Prejudice" with Keira Knightley and Matthew MacFadyen, 2005), Sudbury Hall (b) (Pemberley on the inside in "Pride & Prejudice" with Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth, 1994), Haddon Hall (c) (Thornfield in "Jane Eyre" with Ruth Wilson and Tobey Stephens, 2006) besides other sites:

Wir waren natürlich auch in Lyme Park, Nähe Stockport, Cheshire. Das Pemberley (außen) der BBC-Verfilmung (Stolz & Vorteil) mit Colin Firth....[schwärm]! Im Shop des National Trust gab es eine Stickpackung (eben obige), die ich aber - aus was für Gründen auch immer - damals nicht gekauft hatte.
We were, of course, in Lyme Park, near Stockport, Cheshire, too. The Pemberley (on the outside) of the BBC mini series (Pride & Prejudice) with Colin Firth... [deep sigh]! In the shop of the National Trust there was a cross stitch kit offered (the one above), which I didn't purchase that time - for what reason I don't know.

Einige Zeit später hatte ich dann meinen Entschluss, sie nicht zu kaufen, bereut: ich suchte nun im Internet nach dieser Stickpackung. Nichts!

Some times later, I regretted very much that I didn't buy it: I searched for it in the internet. Nothing!

Dann endlich kam ich im Januar dieses Jahres auf die Idee, mal den National Trust in Lyme Park anzumailen und nach der Packung zu fragen.

Then, finally, I had the idea to write an email to the National Trust in Lyme Park and asked them, if the kit was still available.

Et voilà! Sie hatten sie! Es hat dann zwar noch etwas gedauert - bis Anfang dieser Woche - aber nun endlich habe ich sie in Händen! :o)

Et voilà! They had it! It took still some time - until the beginning of this week - but now I have it in my own hands! :o)

Durch diese Geschichte wurde ich zu einem Projekt "geführt", mit dem ich schon einige Zeit geliebäugelt hatte: The Netherfield Hall von The Stitching Parlor. Und nur das Haus. Denn ich liebe Stickbilder mit Häusern...

Through this story, I was led to a project that I wanted to stitch some time already: The Netherfield Hall by The Stitching Parlor. And only the house. Because I love stitched pictures with houses...
