England - 9. Tag / ~ - 9th day

An unserem 9. und fast letzten (es kommen noch 2) Tag in England sind wir zum Bolton Castle gefahren:

On our 9th and almost last day (there are still 2 days to come) in England we visited Bolton Castle:

Das Schloss war zum Teil verfallen, aber es gab auch einen Teil, der noch relativ intakt und eingerichtet war:

The castle was partially destroyed, but there was also a part that was relatively intact and furnished:

In diesem Zimmer soll mal Mary Stewart, Queen of Scotland, genächtigt haben... /

It is said that in this room, Mary Stewart, Queen of Scotland has stayed the night...

Dies sind zwei nachgestickte Stickbilder, die Queen Mary einst entworfen und gestickt haben soll... /

These are two (nowadays) stitched pieces, which Queen Mary once designed and stitched...

Regen in der Ferne... / Rain in the distance...

... aber hier blauer Himmel! / ... but here blue sky!

Ich - am Pranger...! / I am in the pillory...!

Es gab auch eine Flugvorführung mit einem Falken...

There has been a flight show with a falcon as well...

Dann ging es wieder, auch über enge Straßen, zurück zu unserer Cottage...
Then we drove again back to our cottage, using narrow streets as well...
